  • Looking ahead to the Big Draw

    Published 11/10/24

The week commencing 21st October is our annual Arts week, where we have again invited Jon the Potter to come into school and work with all of our children to produce some fabulous clay work. This is kindly paid for by the Friends of Meadows  from money that they have raised over the year and allows every child in the school to work alongside a professional artist. You can see some of the work outside the school - the giant poppy mural, the book panels and also the Jubilee mural on year 1 playground are just some of the fantastic work we have produced with Jon.

We also use this week to celebrate a BIG DRAW on the large playground at the front of the school. You are invited to come and spend a few minutes before school creating some artwork alongside your child (weather permitting). It will take place from 8.15am- 8.45am Monday to Thursday (starting 21st October)  and is for all of the children and their grown ups- so please spend a few minutes creating, before walking round to the other playgrounds! No artistic talent is necessary as we aim to  explore the process of art rather than a finished product.
