Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium is allocated to children who are eligible for Free School Meals, are “Looked After” or who have parents currently in the armed forces. Pupil Premium is clearly identifiable in a school budget. Schools can decide how this money is spent and are therefore accountable for how effectively Pupil Premium is spent.
As a school, we strive to create a culture of high expectations for all our children. We work hard with families to foster trust and support. Together, we aim to overcome barriers and build upon strengths, to give children the best possible start in their learning and development.
At Meadows First School we are committed to supporting all of our pupils and to enabling them to reach their potential. The School Leadership Team, including a Pupil Premium Leader and our Governing Body monitor the impact of all spending and interventions, including Pupil Premium.
We follow a research informed programme called RADY (Raising the Attainment of Disadvantaged Youngsters). Our PP lead is currently training on this programme which forms a golden thread through our SDP. Click here for more information on RADY
