The Den
'The Den' is a Mainstream Autism Base (MAB) at Meadows First School and Parkside Middle School for children with Autism.
The aim of the Den is to provide an education that is inclusive to the child’s individual needs.
Admission to The Den is through SEN Services Worcestershire County Council, not the school.
Children have the opportunity to engage in learning within mainstream classes supported by specialist support, small group learning experiences within the Den as well as group, paired and individual specialist autism curriculum which is centred around the child’s needs.
The amount of time each child spends in the Den will depend upon their level of need; however, we will encourage each child to integrate as fully as possible into their class and school life.
