Welcome

Dear Parents and Carers,

It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself as the new Headteacher of Meadows First School. I feel extremely honoured to have been chosen by the Governors to lead this fantastic school.  I have worked really hard with Mrs Hewitt and the rest of the team, over the last term, to really get to know the school and as a result, I feel more than ready to take over in January.  I am really thankful to Mrs Hewitt for all the time she has given me and I wish her well in her retirement.

As a parent, my goal has always been to ensure my children are happy in life and achieve their potential. This is the philosophy I bring to my role as Headteacher. My aim is to ensure all children who attend Meadows First School are happy and provided with all the necessary opportunities to be the best they can be, both socially and academically.  The school’s motto of Caring, Sharing, Preparing for Life fits entirely with my own views on education and I am excited to begin my time at Meadows.   I will continue to ensure that the strong ethos and values that run through all aspects of school, are evident in all we do.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the children, parents, carers and staff of Meadows First School a very Merry Christmas and a restful holiday.  I will be on the playground each morning, and I look forward to meeting you all in the New Year.
